Guidelines for Reviewers
Guidelines for Reviewers
Traders deserve straight answers before they hand a company their money or their time. These guidelines help keep RankProps reviews honest, useful, respectful, and independent.
Why we're here
Traders deserve straight answers before they hand a company their money or their time. RankProps exists to give them that — a free, independent place where real traders share what actually happened when they tested a prop firm, broker, platform, or education provider. No affiliate deals, no pay-to-rank. Just people helping other people make better decisions.
That only works if the reviews on RankProps are honest. So we ask every reviewer to follow these Guidelines, alongside our Terms of Use and any other policy posted on the site. If you're looking for quick how-to answers, our Help Center covers most day-to-day questions about using the platform.
The short version
If you only read one section, read this one:
You need an account to post
Reading reviews on RankProps is free and open to anyone — no login required. To write a review, reply to a comment, vote a review helpful, or enter a giveaway, you'll need a RankProps account tied to a valid email address. That account is what lets us notify you if a company responds to your review, verify your review if it's ever questioned, and let you manage everything you've posted in one place.
Your review has to be real
Write a review only about an experience you actually had — signing up for an evaluation, funding a challenge, contacting support, requesting a payout, using a platform's charting tools, and so on. It doesn't need to be a huge account size or a long relationship with the company; a single interaction is fair game, as long as it happened and it's yours to describe.
No traded reviews
You can't write a review — positive or negative — in exchange for anything: a discount code, a bigger funded account, cash, swag, referral credit, or any other perk offered specifically for posting. Incentivized reviews distort the whole point of the platform, and we remove them when we find them. If a company offers you something in exchange for a review, please report it to us.
No fabricated or manufactured reviews
We don't allow reviews that aren't based on a genuine experience with the company being reviewed. That includes reviews written by someone who never actually used the company, reviews submitted on behalf of someone else, reviews generated in bulk to inflate or deflate a score, or coordinated campaigns designed to manipulate a company's ranking in either direction. We use a mix of automated screening and human review to catch this, and we act on user flags too — but if something slips through, tell us.
Keep it respectful and lawful
Your review should skip:
- Hate speech, harassment, threats, or discriminatory language.
- Defamatory claims you can't back up.
- Illegal content of any kind.
- Advertising, self-promotion, or marketing copy disguised as a review — including promoting yourself, a competing company, or an unrelated product or service.
- Deliberately misleading claims about the company or its products.
Watch what you share
Please don't include sensitive personal data in your review text, screenshots, or attachments — things like full account numbers, government ID numbers, other people's names or contact details, or anything else you wouldn't want published for anyone in the world to see.
Editing and deleting your reviews
You're always in control of your own content. Log into your account any time to update a review — say, after a dispute with a company gets resolved — or remove it entirely. Edited reviews may show that they've been edited, along with the date.
Flagging content that looks wrong
If you come across a review, reply, or company listing that you believe breaks these Guidelines, you can flag it from the platform. Give us as much detail as you can — what looks off and why — so our team can look into it properly.
Flagged content may stay visible while we investigate, and we may ask the business or reviewer involved for supporting documentation before making a call.
What happens when content breaks the rules
If a review, reply, or listing violates these Guidelines or the law, we may remove it, and we may suspend or close the account responsible for repeated or serious violations. We'll try to explain why when we take action.
If you think we got a decision wrong — about your review, your account, or a flag you submitted — you can appeal by replying to the notice we send you or reaching out through our Help Center.
Business replies
Companies with a RankProps listing can publicly reply to reviews about them. Replies are held to the same respect and honesty standard as reviews — no harassment of the reviewer, no doxxing, no off-platform pressure to change or remove a review in exchange for anything of value.
